  • The initial session is always about gaining a comprehensive understanding of what is happening. This is often done through history taking and getting to know your current situation. By the end of this session therapuetic goals are agreed upon, and options for which therapeutic modalities are appropriate to meet those goals are discussed.

    Subsequent sessions will allow for the agreed goals to be worked towards using the approach preferred by the client. The plan and approach can be reviewed at any time, especially as new information is presented.

  • Standard consultations are for 50 minutes. The fee for individual consultations is $250. With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician, you are entitled to Medicare rebates of $141.85 for up to 10 sessions for calender year.

    Assess and Guide consultations are for 90 minutes with a fee of $325

    A 60 minute professional supervision consultation is $200

  • If you have been referred by your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician with a Mental Health Care Plan you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Medicare currently provides a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calender year with a review after 6 sessions. Rebates are process for you after your session.

    Psychology services may be subsidised by your private health insurer. You do not need a referral to qualify for private health insurance rebates, however, Medicare and private health cannot be claimed for the same appointment.

    Circle of Security Parenting Program is eligible for rebates with a referral from your GP. This means part of the course will be covered by medicare.

  • Please let the practice know as soon as you know if you cannot make an appointment. If this falls within 48hrs prior to the appointment there will a 50% cancellation fee. You will recieve a reminder before this time. The full fee will apply for non-attendance on the day of appointment. Please note that Medicare and private health fun rebates are not available for late cancellation and non-attendance fees.

  • Of course you can! You are welcome to attend to your baby as needed during an appointment including feeding, soothing, and changing. I am also there to assist you with . Please note if have a toddler who is very active it may be best to organise care during the appointment, or utilise telehealth.
